1499 the Spaniards brought the Valencia Orange to the Isle
of Curacao. In these arid growing conditions, the fruit became small with a hard, bitter rind. Indio makes use of this tradition
of infusing the specialized orange rind into high proof rum to create this original Curacao aperitif.
